Former Police detective arrested for impersonating Immigration Directorate personnel
A former police officer, previously attached to the Criminal Intelligence and Investigations Directorate (CIID) has been arrested for obtaining money by false pretence.
A former police officer, previously attached to the Criminal Intelligence and Investigations Directorate (CIID) has been arrested for obtaining money by false pretence. The officer who was dismissed from the force in 2011, allegedly camped at the Immigration Directorate and illegally took money from people to help them secure passports, residential and work permits. Robert Kirya was also found with a number of government documents which he reportedly used to dupe Ugandans and foreigners.
