12yr old girl gives birth in Soroti

According to the World Health Organisation, one in every ten women who give birth each year worldwide is within the age bracket of 10 to 19 years old. Last night, a twelve year old girl from Soroti district in Gweri sub-county proved the statistics true after delivering a baby boy. The Primary three pupil’s childhood was cut short after she was defiled  by a man, who has since disappeared. Her father who gave her away in exchange for a cow was arrested.
