Amama Mbabazi takes leave of NRM Secretary-General’s office
NRM Secretary-General Amama Mbabazi appears to have and agreed to an apparent party resolution to take leave from his duties as NRM Secretary-General.
Embattled ruling party NRM Secretary-General John Patrick Amama Mbabazi appears to have cut his losses and agreed to an apparent party resolution to take leave.
In a letter to NRM Chairman, President Yoweri Museveni, Mbabazi said it was high time he took leave since he had not done so for the nine years he has served as Secretary-General. Mbabazi further stated that Dorothy Hyuha would be the acting Secretary-General in his absence.
Deputy NRM Spokesman Ofwono Opondo confirmed the development , saying Mbabazi would be out of office until 31st December.
