WC Netball qualifier: Uganda finish unbeaten after seeing off Namibia

Mande Juruni and Timothy Odeke there. Uganda’s National Netball team, the She Cranes, have ended their World Cup qualifying campaign in Gaborone, Swaziland, undefeated. This after they barely break a sweat during a 66-24 win over Namibia.
Namibia was added to a list of scalps that include Swaziland, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Namibia were in sixes and sevens, and found themselves chasing shadows as She Cranes took a 35-10 half-time lead.

Zambia beat Zimbabwe 47-42 to secure second place in the round robin tournament, and with it a ticket to next year’s Netball World Cup in Sydney, Australia. Africa will be represented by South Africa, Malawi, Uganda and Zambia at the World Cup that runs from 7th to 16th August.
