Taxing Agric. inputs: Activists deliver petition to Parliament Speaker

Farmers from across the Country have petitioned the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga asking her to recall a move by parliament to impose tax on agricultural inputs.

Under their umbrella Civil society Budget Advocacy Group believe that the imposition will have a direct bearing on the agricultural sector which employes the biggest number of ugandans no matter their qualifications and status. They demand that government focuses on other tax avenues to support the budget other than agriculture which drives more than 70% of the total employment sector in the Country.
